Hi people!, Anyone help me please !!
I have a Compaq Presario 5184, an AMD-k6 3D processor Intel MMX technology (380 MHZ), a 6 GB hd, and 124 Ram. The problem is that i just downloaded BeOs 5 Personal Edition and the installation was ok, but when it was starting all the system freesez and nothing work, i don't know what the heck is happening !!
Please !! if some one can help me respond, or e-mail me !!

(any writing problems, english is not my lenguage)

There is a hardware compatibility list at Frizbe.net. You may need a add-on driver for your AMD processor.

Also, are you trying to run it within Windows 98, on it's own partition, or what?

1. In bios-- turn off Plug and Play if you can, also turn off USB support.

2. Make a bootdisk floppy.

3. When you see "Loading..." press the space bar and use safemode option. Let us know if it works in safe mode.


4. It might be your video card that is unsupported.

Well, i've try the spacebar thing, and put it to run in safe mode, and it work, but i'm getting a message that says that the media server don't startup or something like that.
I think that Beos don't support my video card and sond card, or there's another configuration problem.
