Can BeOS be installed to any other file system, like a Linux Ex2 or Any form of FAT?

BeOS Personal Edition can only be installed on a Fat or ext2 partition. As far as I'm aware, BeOS Pro can only be installed on its own partition. If you go to www.bebits.com you can download BeOS PE and install it from windows (the download is an .exe file) or for linux (tar.gz).
Hope this helps

I think on vasper.net they have a forum for the Max distro. It is a PE distro with drivers added. What one of the threads says is to make fat16/32 (bios support may be needed!) or ext2 or (ext3 without indexing) and rename the max iso to "image.be" under a beos subdirectory. You will need to view tips at betips for correct case like /Beos or /beos. You can then also use the windows boot to beos icon or with bootman or bootable media. It is my opinion that the file must be installed contigious. Not a lot of ways to insure that. A new partition works but then you could just do an install.
