Hey BeOS junkies,

this is one heck of an operating system!! As soon as I get these two problems cleared up, I'm junking windows down to a bare minimal install (gotta be able to run MS Offfice still :-( )and using BEOS full time, even if it is unsupported. Can anybody help me:

1. I have a Linsys PCMCIA ethernet card which linksys says should be supported. It is listed on the Be website I do believe as supported hardware. However, whenever I boot or try to make changes to the card, I get an error network (something and other) failed to initialize(0). Anybody have a solution?

2. There doesn't seem to be any sound. No error messages, just no sound. Can anybody tell me how to check if my sound card is working?

Thanks,
Russell

Russell, if you find out where to get drivers for the linksys stuff, post it back here. My Linksys NC100 doesn't work in BeOs either.

I tell ya, though, BeOs absolutely rocks! I used it on my old hardware, and I loved it. Once I upgraded, I couldn't find drivers for my ethernet card.

I just might go get a card that matches exactly the ones supported by BeOS. I miss not using it.

Great OS!
