Comment: I've got Beos running well on a Compaq Presario 3060 computer with a non-supported video card (running in VESA mode - thanks to Scitech Disk Doctor). However, I get a message everytime I try to print something saying my printer driver doesn't support my printer. The printer is an Epson Stylus Color 640 1440x720dpi printer connected to the parallel port. It works well under MS98. The BeOS printer I set up matches the model number of my printer exactly. Has anyone got this model printer working w/BeOS? Please help if you can. Thanks, Mike

Reply: (edit)I have an Epson Color Stylus 640 and BeOS 5. When I chose the driver for the printer, there was only the 600, then the 740, so I chose the 600 and everything works fine. (Even a little better than on Win98) Try choosing the 600 driver, anything is possible. :o)

Reply: (edit) Hi The is a known problem regarding the Epson Drivers distribted with the Koch Pro5 distribution in the UK. Basically they dont work and you get the annoying message as you describe. It hit me pretty bad, cos I then went out and brought a new 880 Epson printer which still did not work. The correct solution is to simply transfer the Epson Drivers across from PE and over write the bad Pro ones. I would advise you to back up a copy of the orginal Pro ones in case this solution fails. zoe
