Ok here goes.
I have a YMF274 soundcard which uses the DS-XG driver.

Ever since I reformatted my PC and put on Win2000 I've found that whilst playing games the sound is really choppy at times which can hang my machine.

Ive tried reinstalling various drivers of the net, fiddled with DirectX8, fiddled with hardware accelerations and tried enabling/disabling setting in the device manager- all no avail.

I must point out that this prob only occurs while playing games-recording and playing music etc is fine.

Any ideas anyone?
plz help.
sys specs p3 533mhz, 512MB Ram, GeForce2 400mx, octeck m/b.

You might want to post this in the Windows 2000 forum if you haven't already.
