I use a SBC cheapo from Seimens speedstream attached to a SMC 4 port router w/wireless. I had to set up my account a bit differently that what the ISP wanted. I used the WAN port on the router to use as my sign in info and made the router as a pass-though. Originally I used the modem to connect but it seemed unstable. The router uses a smart connect that seems to reconnect better. NOW, the isp doesn't want to tell you anything that helps. They want you to install their app.

If worse comes to worse and you have two computers then you can get a free proxy app or even ICS or a nat to pass through port requests.

Thanks, Jefro. I might be able to connect to Primus here in Ontario, Canada using just a DSL router. I'm learning that many makes of modems will work with BeOS. That's a relief.

Look for things that work with linux. Usually the how to's are almost the exact for beos.
