Minor actually. PE doesn't have some extra apps that cost BE money to add and they didn't include multiple processor support. A few places have the Pro edition. You might try purplus.com. It is worth it to have the pro edition because you get the intel/mac and intel PE version. You should get the updates from Bebits.com. If you just want to try it go for the PE version. You would be real lucky if you get the beos bible along with the pro edition. There is a lot of hidden stuff there that isn't obvious.

hi, just like to add that i read someplace a while back that PE also supports dual processors. some guy cheked out the dates and times and sizes of the kernel i guess for both PE and PRO...and they were ditto...

heh.. I noticed something strange myself. Poking around with a config file (I forget where exactly, it was a 'sample', ie not even read by the system) I noticed there was an option to tell Be exactly how many processors you've got. I think that PE just uses the first processor *by default*, and ignores all others *unless specifically* told to do otherwise in that config file.
