Hello everyone :)
I have stumbled upon an irritating dialup issue. It may end up being the ISP, but I would like to try everything I can with BeOS first. BeOS connects and works just fine with my ISP. But it will not work correctly with my father's ISP. With his ISP, it will connect and get an IP address, but it will not transfer any data, nor can I ping the gateway address of the ISP. I have tried all the Server types: Standard PPP, Alternate PPP, Unix login, Manual, Unknown types 1 & 2 with no luck. I have entered the primary and secondary DNS addresses and still nothing. I know this is not a Geos forum, but the reason he does not change to use my ISP is his ISP is the only one that seems to work properly with the dialup on his Geos computer. Any help on this BeOS dialup issue would be greatly appreciated. If you have any questions about the ISP's configurations, please ask and I will get that posted on here as fast as I can.
Thanks,
Cliff

I think that there may be a way to call the ISP and ask for a different logon method for you. I will have to look again at the beosbible and see what was said about dialup and maybe betips. I know I read about that somewhere.
