Well, I've been running R5.03 (Max Edition) for awhile now and it's been working fine. I tried to upgrade to DANO and all I get is a blank black screen now. I get through the boot up sequence (all the icons light up) but then after that (when the GUI should start up) all I get is a black black screen and nothing responds. So, a co-worker of mine recomended I try running Zeta and lent me his copy of it. Zeta runs perfectly fine! I thought Zeta was based off DANO so shouldn't DANO work as well? I would like to get DANO working as I don't have my own copy of ZETA. Any help would be great.
I'm trying to install on a Gateway 200x laptop. R5 works fine and ZETA works flawlessly.
did you do a fresh Dano install or upgrade over the R5..there's an awful lot of R5 files that can be incompatible with dano..preventing a boot.. Try installing Dano on a fresh partition.. if Zeta runs well then Dano certainly should.. Perhaps you installed Zeta on a fresh partiton and that's why it runs well?
