When I attempt to install BE OS 5 Pro
( single boot os ) I get the following error message. The file boot/beos/ect/dictionary appears to be corrupted. The system may not work correctly after it is installed. I installed BEOS 4.5 on the same PC with no problems. Thanks for your help. John M.

Where did you get the CD from? I think that a few copies in Europe did have a problem (Koch?). I guess this all assumes that you have enough space to install to and your hard drive is OK. Might just be one small nick in the CD?
You could go to bebits and see about the PE version or on of the other versions of R5.03.

Thanks for your reply. ( PURPLUS on e bay is where I purchased it,sealed retail package ). I had no problem with the 4.5 version. I am planning on installing it on another PC,creating the partition magic boot up floppy and trying again. When I checked out the using PM 7.0 it was yellow and showing as an ( ED ) partition. Any other advise please send it !

I would use the drivesetup on beos before I used the PM. Some companies computers use the extended partition to save reload info or support info. You might want to keep that. Don't know what else to say. See if one of your friends would let you try it.
