Compaq PC-Removable Harddrive

Comment:
I have a removable hard drive in a Compaq Deskpro P600E at school. We installed Win 2000 Professional on it with NTFS. I should be able to take this drive home and install it into another PC. It won't work. I tried a Dell, and IBM PC. Does Compaq do something different with the BIOS, motherboard settings, or partitioning.? The entire class is having the same problem.

I fail to see what this has to do with BeOS.

Maybe you didnt set the beos up to detect the new hard drive so it thinks that you dont have a hard drive there

"Set the BeOS up to detect the new hard drive?"
This guy's not even using BeOS--he's using Windows 2000!
I think you're confusing "BeOS" with "BIOS", which are two very, very different things.
This is BeOS forum. It's all about BeOS. The Be Operating System.

You may need to "flash" your BeOS:
After your class loads BeOS 5 pe/pro, instruct all to drop the drawers and aim their derriers at their respective computers. This is especially fulfilling for Compaqs.
