What kind of modem is it? Are there jumpers on the modem itself you can use to set the com it uses?

I also have com3 modem but i cant connect on the internet at all .I try EVERYTHING but i just can't.The modem is SupraSST 56k DFV.Actually I have no idea is it com 3 modem or com something... I dont know anything :-( help ...
