Hey my isp i use with windows linux ect ... uses chap
(Challenge Handshake authentication protocall)
BE-os personal dose not seem to have anything in internet settings about selecting chap
any help ?

I think you're s.o.l. I'm hardly the world's foremost expert on BeOS networking by any stretch, so don't let my response keep you from continuing to pursue this, but...

BeOS does not natively support CHAP and I've not seen any sort of third party support for it, either. In terms of what Beos natively supports, if it isn't standard PPP, TCP/IP, and *basic* DHCP (the BeOS DHCP client does not support some newer DHCP features, like hostname request), it ain't gonna work.

Well, for what it's worth, you're quite welcome. Maybe somebody might add support for CHAP. Check BeBits and SourceForge.
