Most definitely yes. Get the BeOS Personal Edition from be.com and it works right off windows.

BeOS, per above, is winderfully unobtrusive on a Windoze 9x puter.

The Personal Edition installs neatly onto a designated folder on any DOS/windows partition. Within same lies the huge half-gig image file within which is your BeOS universe.

Also neat: you don't NEED windoze to launch it. From real DOS, go into the BeOS directory...then run LOADBEOS.com.

Once within BeOS, you mount/read/write (to) any/all of your DOS/windoze partitions.

Am now routinely loading BeOS PE onto ALL new Win9x machines we build. It's a wonderful "spare tire" OS for when windoze is broke......:)

I am getting page fault after pagefault involving IE5. Would a reasonable stategy be to remopve IE browser and replace it with BeOS? I run Win 98 on my P.B. machine with an AMD K6-2, and 128megs of Ram.

Why not just use Opera?
