Hey, today i burned the beosmax iso on two cd's with helios but i forgot to add on the floppy image (that's why they didnt boot!)
and then i read the readme, and said i needed both .iso on the cd. so know that's where this question comes in, because i cant figure this out!
i have one cd left, so i want to know how i can add the floppy image.iso and the beosmax.iso onto one cd, so it will boot please. (and so it is actually not the .iso file itself, but its contents)

i couldnt find guides or help files for helios, or burn it now.

i tried adding more than one iso in Burn It NOW! but it only allowed one.
i read the readme for the beos max 3.1b
and i tried doing the command line procedure as best as i could but it didnt work. i have cd tools installed. please reply quickly!

ps- could somebody try answering my post about the problems playing videos in vlc?

Sorry, don't know about the vlc problem.

The CD's are another story. I have only used nero. Nero puts the files on with the help of a .cue file. That cue file also tells the data lenght. I think there used to be a few how to's on the beos max site.

I have heard that on mac's or *nix you can use track on and track two. I think it is not possible to put a track one unless now. The boot image can be put on a floppy if you wish. Then tell it to boot from CD. I don't think that the data that should have been on track two really needs to be on track two. The floppy booting should see the beos data. There are sources for the floppy boot image all over the place. If you wish you can burn that to the CD if you have two CD drives. You won't be able to boot and remove the cd.

Whew! All is not lost either. You can boot from dos. Get two files, zbeos and loadbeos.com. Boot to beos and have the two files in the path and run loadbeos.com. Then use safe mode to pick the CD. (press spacebar at "Loading..."

yep- it's pretty embarrasing when beos max' own installation needs to rely on nero just to do the stupid cd burning. what a joke! boo hiss piss pot burn slugde grr

Nero assumes that you don't have beos running at all just yet. Nero is the only app that lets you pick what you need to burn beos. The others complain it isn't windows. Duh!

Do you have beos running already? If so, then get on beshare and ask. I just can't remember where to get that info. I have seen it just can't remember where. Sorry.
