Comment: I am running bios v4.51pg and would like to upgrade it. If anyone knows where I can find it. It would be greatly appreciated. I have a intel 440EX/LX rev3 chipset. The original bios date is 09/25/98. board # is SY-6KL.

Reply: (edit)First, this is the BeOS forum. That's BeOS as in the Be Operating System. Second, you didn't state what BIOS you've got (Award, AMI, Phoenix, etc.), although it doesn't really matter. I just happen to recognize the version number as being an Award BIOS. (A pretty popular version at that!) You really should obtain the update from the OEM. Actually, unless there's a specific issue you're trying to resolve, you probably shouldn't even be updating your motherboard BIOS at all.

Reply: (edit)I found a bios upgrade. Dont waste your time. It still will not fix the 10gig max on the hard drive. This system is junk, by a company that went belly up. Read This http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news02/proteva_class.html
