Hey guys, i see that i can use some of linux command on beos console. And i was thinking that if it BeOS is one of UNIX varian ?

Correction.
BeOS is not a UNIX variant. What you
experienced is the POSIX layer running
BASH.

What is POSIX?

Simple answer: POSIX is a standard that
attemps to give a uniform experience
across multiple platforms.

Techie answer: POSIX defines a standard
set of APIs for code portability.
