BeOS won't boot

Comment:
I just can get BeOS to bootup. When I insert the bootdisk the splashscreen appears and you can see the little flashing dot in the upper left corner, but when it seems as it is done loading... it simply reboots.
Anyone have any idea what could be the cause of this?

I've tried several different versions(all of the 5.0.X series and the unofficial 5.0.4 developer edition), all with the same result.

My computer is a 1GHz Duron(Morgan) running on a ECS K7S5A and a Matrox G400.

Please help

It is probably hardware related. You could try to remove all unnecessary devices like soundcards, network interface cards etc. Try to move the harddrive to another controller as some controllers, like promise or highpoint isnt supported without 3d party software.
Try another grafics adapter and so on. have you tried starting without DMA?

Check Frizbe.net. What you might have is a AthlonXP chip called a duron. You will need to get the kernel patch for Athlon's and fix BeOS. Actually the AMD folks might have pulled a fast on to get their SSE to work on windows. It crashes BeOS by loading the Intel instructions. You could get a different board that disables SSE. Sorry I forgot the name and I have one! Check Frizbe
