BeOS R5 PRO and bootman

i get a be boot problem too, trying to install bootman onto a partition.

*partition originally fat32 2gig first partiton.

installed from a beos r5 pro bootcd.

initializes fine, installs fine. wont install bootman "cannot find bios id for /dev/ata/master/0_0/" or something, but using a beos bootdisk is fine, and beos functions fine. it jus wont install a bootloader cuz im dual with win98se, any sugestions ? 3rd party perhaps ?

The simple answer is just use the bootdisk floppy.

Someone might know for sure. These are only ideas.


Beos uses a different way to find devices. You might disable plug and play. Use the bios options to identify your hard drive(s). It might be that you need the IDE replacement driver from bebit.com.

Is this a copy of BeOS Pro5?
