what should be the network's capabilities? is the linux box already configured and you want to use it as some kind of server for your beos box? do you want one of the hosts (or all of them) to be connected to the internet? or do you 'just' want file transfer functions?
just "beos/linux networking" is a very wide field, although it is IMHO easier than win/linux cuz beos is more unix-like.
