I'm having trouble connecting to the internet via a onboard Intel lan. I set the IP, Gateway,Mask? just like in XP. Do I need a new driver?
Thanks
BobbyXL@Hotmail.com

need more info.
I assume that beos has found a supported card and that you can ping 127.0.0.1 from a terminal.
From there you need to tell us how you have it connected to the web. I assume you are not part of the backbone. What and how do you get to the internet. like router dsl intranet.

we have dsl it's installed to a PC which connects 4 other computers via a D-link. It list the intel on BeOS. I also have a D-Link DFE-530TX which I could install. I just wanna use BeOS for internet. I don't know if it's the IRQ and those numbers?
Thanks
Bobby

I am still not clear on your connection. You have a computer with a modem card installed (that you connect to the dsl line) and then have either #1, nic cards or #2. one nic card to a hub,,, connecting the other computers? And that it must be on all the time to use the internet?
Let's divide up the trouble.
Fist can you tell me if you believe that the nic card is working? Does it Ping another computer?
If that is true. Is my report of your lan correct?

I also have a huge problem with the LAN connection. On both my computers I have Intel network cards, NONE of them have any supported drivers it seems for Beos.
First is Intel Etherexpress
Second is Intel 100/Pro VEContact me through e-mail if you have solution on creativeminds@punkass.com
