First, when I create the boot floppy, it seems to stop about 2/3 of the way during the creation(according to the little pie graph that counts down the process)
Second, when I go to boot into BeOS5, it goes into the first screen okay, and then after a bit, it tries to go to the next screen but it hangs and looks like a jumbled version of the beginning screen.
My system is a Compaq Presario 7470, with a ViaMVP4 chipset, K6-2 533Mhz processor, voodoo3 3000 graphics card and a Trident Blade Graphics card(disabled), A Soundblaster Live soundcard, Ess Allegro soundcard(disabled), generic Mobo, 194MB RAM.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Your first question: It is correct, and there is no bug. 2/3 of the chart does represent a full disk of raw BeOS data.

Your second question: Try going into the system BIOS and disable "Plug n' Play OS".

Note:
You don't need to use BeOS's bootdisk unless you've reinstall Windows and it nullifies Bootman.

Thanks for the reply! I happen to have both the Personal(free) version and the Pro version. I have yet to see this OS in action, and I really wanted to see it. I'm going to build a couple of PCs, and I'm going to build a really good box, and then I want to just build a PC that I can put stuff like BeOS and Linux on... If you were going to build a BeOS capable box, exactly which components such as Mobos and CPUs would you use?

This is kind of off of the subject of your problem, and I am sorry that I cannot be of any assistance to it. Could you tell me how to disable the Trident Blade Graphics Card on A Compaq Presario 7470. Thanks.
