Comment:
Just set up Beos 5 Personal edition on my P166. Everything works except it does not detect my cd-rom. The unit is a Aopen 32x, which runs from my Sound Blaster 16 sound card (i am running two hard drives from the motherboard). Any ideas?

Try connecting the CDrom as a slave to one of your harddrives. Disable the port on the sound card if you have to, (it depends on how old it is). The CDrom should then be recognized.
