Comment:
I'm just trying to correctly burn the BeOS DevEd 2.2 cd. I downloaded the latest version direct from the hosting site. I've tried burning the cd with Nero, CDRWin & Padus. It will not burn correctly. What am I doing wrong? Any help?

Most of the beos distros offer a .cue file.
The cue file can usually be used. I just use nero and select burn image from file and then select the .cue file.

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you goober.

i've tried that already. it only burns the boot image, and does not burn the full install ISO image.

could you post the contents of your .cue file? i want to make sure that mine is similar.

The .cue file is readable in an editor. Basically you have to have the files in the same directory as the cue file. The .cue file should talk about two images. It may be that the image you have with 2.2 could be choices of files. I don't' have access to that distro right now but newer distros have some different boot files for special needs. They might have an amd or intel or big memory or what not. You may need edit it to correct the boot choice. Use notepad or other text editor.

You could use a VM and test the boot image as a floppy and the main image as the cd.

See also bebits for other distros.
