BeOS crashed after BONE 7a install

Subject: BeOS crashed after BONE 7a install
OS: BeOS PE rc5
CPU/Ram: celeron 566/256mb
Comment:
I downloaded and installed Bone 7a off of BeShare and then it asked me to reboot. I hit enter to reboot and when it rebooted I got the following error messages and details(now I get them whenever I boot into BeOS):
1) "Not enough free disk space to create a swap file. Virtual memory will be disabled."
2) " The application: /boot/beos/system/servers/media_addon_server has encoutered an error which prevents it from continuing. The BeOS will terminate the application and clean up." (Details: segment violation, team id: 53 thread id: 137 eip: 0xec 1b4fd3)
3) "The application: /boot/beos/system/Deskbar has encoutered an error which prevents it from continuing. The BeOS will terminate the application and clean up." (Details: segment violation. team id: 38 thread id: 133 eip: 0x8002d87a)
4) "The application: /boot/beos/system/Tracker has encoutered an error which prevents it from continuing. The BeOS will terminate the application and clean up." (Details: segment violation. team id: 34 thread id: 96 eip: 0xec 1b4f6f)

if you have any idea on how to fix these (without reinstalling) I would be very happy. But if I need to reinstall BeOS which version should I install? I have access to BeOS PE rc5, Dano, MAX, and PhosphurOS what are the differences between all of these?

Thanks a lot

well, DUH! ... What part of "not enough free disk space" didn't you understand??? Fact is, you did a LOT MORE than just install BONE... You downloaded Bone7a_install.zip(5.21MB), Install Gobe Productive(9.89MB), and PhOS.zip(135.94MB). Then you unpacked two of those. And you ran the installers. Shall I add this up for you? Or what? Geez! (more info in next rant...)

Sorry..what I'm trying to ask is how can I make the "partition" bigger....its not really a partition so I cannot use partition magic. Do I have to reinstall?

Geeze booger, not cheeseburger.

Welp, the bone 7a seems to crash the PE install more than not. Might have to make a new partition and try it again. May not still work. Why do you need bone anyway?

booger was helping me learn about BeOS and he suggested I download and install bone 7a...I don't quite remember why :-)

I've downloaded and I'm about to install MAX v2 but the mirror for the el toro cue is down :-(

I downloaded the el-torito thing to find out that my Nero installation wasn't working so I booted into RedHat and burned the CD. I used the P4floppy.img and the MaxV2.img...when it burned the CD everything worked fine. When I boot to the CD on my Celeron 566 it go's through the normal BeOS boot screen but then shows a grey screen with a bunch of white, pink, and green pixels that sort of resemble the black and purple boot screen...any ideas why?

Your monitor or adapter doesn't support the way too high install resolution that they put in as default OR the GIF translator might be doing it. There are a lot of ways to change the boot back to vga. You will have to do a search, can't remember it all .
