Comment: I'm having a problem with booting beos. I'm able to install from cd creat a partition and install the os in its own partition. After reboot I get the beos splashscreen with the icons and the little blinking light in the top left corner blinks a few times no icons light up what so ever and my system just reboots. I've tried all the safe mode options and i've played with my bios settings. The version i'm installing comes with bone installed both dano and phos. However a version with net_server(Beos Pro 5)will boot perfactly. If i install the bone ontop of my Beos Pro 5 it will do the same. So i'm fig my problem is with bone. Any suggestions please My system Celeron 1.1 ghz 256 megs ram

Reply: (edit)See http://wiki.bebits.com/page/InstallingOnAthlonXPorMP Option 2 means get a bootfloppy made from a patched kernel. Then if you want you can edit your own kernel_intel file or just keep booting from a floppy.
