Its time to be looking to Upgrade my Pro Audio computer and Im looking at my different options. I remember almost a year ago there was a lot of noise regarding BeOS and Multi Track recording. I belive this was before the release of 5.0 My question is Is BeOS yet developed to meet the needs of Multi Track Audio? Thanks for any help.

Yes it's just a lot of noise Nothing as happened to the much vaunted media OS and JL Gassee doesn't EVEN reply to e-mails asking him about it !!! There is a co selling "Radar" a multi track recorder using R5 but until tested I suggest giving it a miss because it's MEGA expensive and NT can do the same things miles cheaper for now contact us some time
there is still some buzz and more than one company now dealing with pro audio and beos. LCS audio is another but they only use the os and don't sell software. multitrack stuff was solved and support for highend cards was added (like the layla and darla) however the software to make decent use of this still hasn't arrived. several companies are reported to still be working on ports, but nothing has showed up yet.
