Beos and Gateway Laptop

I recently upgraded my Gateway Solo laptop from Beos 4.5 to 5.0 - The system boots just fine but locks up immediatly when displaying the desktop. The system installs just fine from the CD. How can I tell what the error is?

I find that happening to me too, if only on rare occasions. The desktop will appear but the machine will be locked. It usually happens if I don't move the mouse at all during boot. It has never happened to me under any other instance.
