I only guess you have a new AMD processor. What do you have?

Ya gotta get one of three things. Either a version (like the Developers Edition at Beosonline)that has been edited for an Athlon/Duron7 processor or just get one of those boot disks and then see the wiki.bebits.com page for a how to fix your beos.

BeOS "Max" also has the AMD patch. It's my understanding that Max is more up-to-date patch-wise and driver-wise than Developer's Edition.

FYI for Mal495: BeOS Max and the Developer's Edition are patched releases of the BeOS demo version (BeOS PE). You can freely download them and they can easily be installed onto their own partitions the way Pro installs. Once you get one of them installed, you should be able to add any software titles from the Pro disk that weren't included with PE.

Best Luck,
Bob

Lets start another post. Tell us what board you have and processor and how much ram. It seems that the message might mean you have a bad floppy. I don't think the cd is accessed by raw.
