Beos 5 PE loads from the dos command prompt which I found interesting.

Done an install on a 1.2 gig hdd through PE. I've installed the drive in a p 166mmx box. Worked fine accept none of the S3Trio drivers from bebit.com work. Its an old s3 so doesn't support vesa=bummer. Back to the drawing board.

Now you are talking. A BeOS only machine.
On dos it kicks command.com right out of memeory I think (over-writes it). Other os's and programs have done that. Old dos stuff. I think I had a linux version that did that too. Sorry about the S3. Gee, your local hardward place might have an exellent BYO MB and better video board. Why not get a real beos machine going?? It smokes on a 1900+. Gobe suite is so fast I can't imagine using a Works. Ultra fast boot but I think it would boot faster if I removed some unused drivers sez one fella.
