I've used BeOS since v: 4.0.0 and it's great. It's fast, reliable, upgradeable (in devices), and easy to use. The only thing it lacks in is 3D accelleration. Even if you have a card that supports 3D accelleration in BeOS, it's of no use. Besides it's clean, and almost never locks-up. There are many programs for BeOS and are just great. As you we're wondering, there is great support for BeOS built-in and downloadable. There is a project going on to start BeOS back up and running. It's called Open BeOS. Go to openbeos.com and check up on about it.
Pros: Easy, fast, good, supportive, upgradeable (in devices), and is just the most smooth running OS out there.
Cons: Just no 3D accelleration, does not support low-brand sound cards, and is buggy with some USB devices (no USB support if you have any AMD).
Go to bebits.com for all of the downloads for BeOS. Hope you like it.
