I'm not alone in having trouble setting up my Actiontec PCI call-waiting modem with BeOS. It is supported acording to all the documentation I've seen.
It is recognized as a communication device by BeOS but when I go to dial, it never pics up the line and eventually just times out.
There is supposed to be an article at www.benews.com/story/1671 that tells how to configure it - only proble though is that benews now appears to be dead!
Might anyone be able to help. I love what I've seen from Be so far but without the net, it's back to Winblows.

Don't you just love modems that only works under Windows and not fully supported by other operating systems. Personally, I would use an external modem for both Windows and BeOS. My choice would be a USRobotics Sportster Classic 56K.
