Is USB tethering through my phone free?

Specs: Windows 7

I have lost my connection through my computer and i have plugged my phone into the computer and am connecting to the internet through my phone and I was wondering if it was free.

I was an adventurer like you once until I took an arrow to the knee!

I am on virgin media and I am on a contract with 500mb of data.

Like Razor2.3 said, depends. My provider charges 10 bucks a month and the connection slows to 100-150 kbps after about 2 Gig of usage.

Check with your local friendly virgin media to see if they even offer it. Be sure to read the fine print to see if you pay extra after your 500Mb or it just shuts down. Also be aware that 500Mb will go down the tubes very quickly.

Depends on the plan. Most plans around me don't include tethering, but I don't live in the UK. As SkipCox says, these are questions to ask your provider.

There are several tethering tools available on Google Play. Again this is in the U.S., so not sure if you can access them or if they will work.
