After downloading Kies and attempting to upgrade the firmware my phone just "Hung".and for 40 minutes it stayed on 45% installed .I disconnected took out the battery ,replaced it an attempted to go through the repair program.That also "Hung" at 85% installed:
I attempted the repair program again and the phone message came up with
"Firmware upgrade encountered an issue.Please select recovery mode in Kies &try again "
I tried again and the computer could not recognise the device .
The phone is completely useless now and the message above is the only thing that shows

I am too old now to attempt any thing as complicated as these instructions.
I may be able to get the exchange dealer to act on his 28 day warranty..
